This is because the lights will keep a good supply of bait feeding on the plankton.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since my dock is well illuminated with our DM260 dock lights, I can observe the fish at night without disturbing them.&amp;nbsp; He used his Hydro Glow light ice fishing.&amp;nbsp; I assume it is very dark under the ice so the light should work well.&amp;nbsp; He did report the smelt came to the light just as they would in the summer.&amp;nbsp;
